Fewer copies, fewer logins, fewer surprises
A typical picture: a file server in a closet that is past warranty, a VPN people dislike, a booking or CRM system that does not talk to accounting, and someone spending Friday afternoons copying data between them. Meanwhile nobody is told when a disk fills up, a certificate expires or a website goes down; the first alert is a staff member saying something is broken. Moving to the cloud without fixing those habits just relocates the mess.
We map where your data lives and how it flows first. Then we plan a staged move, usually file shares into SharePoint and Teams with permissions cleaned up on the way, or into other cloud storage where that fits better. Next we connect your SaaS tools and automate handoffs with tools like Power Automate or Zapier. Finally, we add monitoring and alerting for what matters. It suits offices with an aging server or too many disconnected apps.
What’s covered
- Cloud readiness review An inventory of servers, shares, apps and data flows, with a clear view of what should move, what should stay and why.
- File server to SharePoint or OneDrive Shares migrated into Microsoft 365 with folders and permissions redesigned, so files are easier to find and safer to share.
- Hosting for older business software Applications that cannot run as SaaS moved to a hosted virtual server where that makes sense, or kept on a properly maintained on-site server.
- Connecting your SaaS tools Scheduling, invoicing, CRM and form tools linked so a customer’s details are typed once, not three times.
- Workflow automation Approvals, notifications, document filing and new-client setups automated with Power Automate, Zapier or similar tools.
- Single sign-on Staff sign in to supported apps with their Microsoft 365 account, so access is removed in one place when they leave.
- Uptime and health alerts We watch server health, internet links, websites, certificate expiry and backup jobs, and route each alert to whoever should act on it.
- Automation records Every flow written up with what triggers it and who owns it, so nothing runs as a mystery after the person who built it moves on.

Common questions
Will moving our file server to the cloud save money?
Sometimes, but we would not promise it. You trade hardware replacement, power and backup appliances for monthly licences and storage, and the balance depends on your data volume and apps. The more dependable gains are remote access without a VPN, simpler permissions and less hardware to maintain. We lay out both sides before you decide.
How do you move a file server to SharePoint without disrupting staff?
We clean up first, removing duplicates and dead folders and flagging paths that are too long. Then we copy data in the background, sync changes and switch over at an agreed time, with shortcuts or Teams tabs that feel familiar. Most small-office file migrations take 1–3 weeks from discovery to cut-over.
Which everyday tasks are worth automating first?
Good candidates are repetitive and rule-based: sending web form leads into your CRM, saving email attachments to the right client folder, routing purchase approvals, creating accounts when someone is hired, or posting a Teams alert when an invoice is overdue. We start with one or two flows, check the time they save and build from there.
What do you monitor, and who gets the alerts?
Typical checks include server health and disk space, internet uptime, website availability, certificate expiry, backup results and unusual sign-ins. Alerts come to us first so we can act or filter out noise, and urgent ones can also go to someone on your team. Alerts are reviewed during business hours, and 24/7 monitoring can be added through a specialist security partner.
